Let’s be real: obedience isn’t exactly the most glamorous word. When we hear it, parang automatic na “rules, restrictions, bawal ito, bawal ’yan.” Pero kung tutuusin, may hidden life hack si Lord dito. ✨

Obedience, at its heart, is about peace. Think about it: when we always insist na tayo ang masusunod—sa bahay, sa trabaho, o kahit sa simpleng family outing kung saan kakain—madalas nauuwi sa stress. Kasi gusto natin tayo ang laging tama. Gusto natin lahat agree sa atin. Pero, newsflash: hindi ganun ang mundo.

The truth is, minsan mas masarap magpasakop kaysa mag-command. Hindi kasi ikaw ang laging may bigat ng desisyon. Imagine: mas relax, less drama, more peace. 🌿

Pero eto ang catch—marami ang sumusunod out of necessity at hindi out of love. Resulta? Magrereklamo sa loob, madedemotivate, at konting kibo lang, sumasabog na parang popcorn sa init ng kawali. 🍿

Sabi nga, kung gusto mo ng tunay na kapayapaan, learn to obey with love. Hindi yung dahil napilitan, kundi dahil alam mong may mas magandang plano si Lord. 🙌

– Pilipit ka na sa pagkain ng gulay kasi nanay ang nag-utos.
– Kung puro reklamo, walang peace.
– Pero kung sasabihin mo: “Okay, Lord, for love of You (and para humaba ang buhay ko), I’ll eat these veggies”—ayun, may konting joy pa. 🥦😂

At eto pa: ang daming problema natin nag-ugat sa pagiging matigas ang ulo. Minsan tama naman ang opinion natin, pero dahil ayaw nating makinig sa iba, napupunta sa pride. At pride, ayon sa mga santo, ay #1 destroyer of peace. 🚫🔥

💡 So maybe, the next time na gusto mong ipilit ang gusto mo… subukan mong tanungin: “Lord, mas mahalaga ba ang peace kaysa sa pride ko ngayon?” Chances are, YES.
