Learning to Listen: How Truth Speaks to the Heart of a Momma ✨

“Happy is she to whom truth manifests itself, not in words that fade, but as it truly is.”

The Imitation of Christ, Book 1, Chapter 3

We live in a world bursting with information.
So many voices. So many opinions. So many “shoulds.”

It’s easy to think that if we just read enough, listen enough, scroll enough—we’ll figure it all out.
We’ll become “better” moms. “Holier” women. “Wiser” wives. 📚💬📱

But the soul isn’t fed by more noise.
It’s nourished by Truth—and Truth is a Person.
Not an idea. Not a headline. Not a trending topic.
Jesus Christ is the Truth—and He wants to speak to you, Momma. Quietly. Clearly. Deeply. ✝️

All That Matters Isn’t All That’s True 🕊️

How often do we waste hours worrying about things that won’t matter on Judgment Day?

🍼 Did I choose the best curriculum?
💸 Is my side hustle polished enough?
🧼 Is my home tidy “enough” for guests?
📖 Do I know enough theology to lead my kids to Heaven?

And yet, Christ won’t ask us how well we decorated, how clever our captions were, or how many parenting books we highlighted.

He will ask:
Did you love Me?
Did you serve your family with joy?
Did you choose Me when no one else was watching?

The Quiet Voice of Truth 💗

You don’t need a Ph.D. to please God. You need a pure heart and a simple love.

“Let the learned be still. Let all creatures be silent before You; You alone speak to me.”

Sometimes we get tired—not just physically, but mentally—from trying to “keep up.” But deep in our hearts, we long for something real. Something lasting. Something more than just the next podcast or post or planner.

Momma, the Truth you’re searching for isn’t in perfect schedules or polished routines.

It’s in Jesus, whispering in the silence:

“Come to Me. Let Me be your light. Let Me show you what matters.”

Holiness > Head Knowledge

Let’s be real. Being a mother is a full-time, no-vacation, emotionally exhausting vocation. 😮‍💨
But it’s also a sacred path to sanctity—if we do it for God.

“A clean conscience and virtuous life ought always to be preferred.”

That means:

  • Doing the dishes with love. 🍽️

  • Correcting our children with patience. 🧸

  • Fighting pride when we’re right (but need to stay quiet).

  • Seeking peace, not praise.

  • Putting down the phone and picking up the cross. 📵✝️

And yes, learning is good. Growing in knowledge is part of loving God with our minds.

But learning means nothing if it doesn't lead us to live differently.

Want to Be Great, Momma? Be Little 🌱

“She is truly wise who looks upon all earthly things as folly that she may gain Christ.”

We are not made for applause. We are made for eternity.

The world may forget your name, but Heaven will never forget your faithfulness.
That bedtime prayer you whispered with your toddler when you were half-asleep?
That moment you forgave your husband in silence instead of arguing?
That quiet choice to serve instead of sulk?

Those are the things Heaven remembers. 🌟

When You Feel Small or Behind… 💔

Look to Jesus.

He is Truth, and He’s never been impressed by status, popularity, or eloquent words.
He sees hearts. He treasures humility.
And He loves your efforts—even the weak, clumsy, imperfect ones. Especially those.

“He who does God's will and renounces his own is truly very learned.”

In Closing, Sweet Momma 🌸

You don’t have to know it all to raise saints.
You don’t have to be impressive to be holy.
You just have to be willing to stay close to the Truth.

And that Truth is Jesus.
He is enough.
And He says you are enough—when you are little, when you are unseen, when you are His.

So let us walk humbly, love deeply, and live simply.

Because on that final day, it won’t be about what we read.
It will be about how we lived.

💒 Let’s live for Jesus, Momma.
One diaper, one prayer, one little “yes” at a time.

💌 This little book is my way of walking beside you, reminding you that you are not alone—
