Becoming Small: The Hidden Strength of Humble Mommas ✨

“What good is knowledge without fear of God?”

We live in a world where everyone is trying to be seen.
To be applauded, followed, celebrated.
But the Gospel flips all that upside down.

And thank God it does.

Because as Mommas, we often feel invisible. Unimportant. Like our efforts are swallowed in the noise of dishes clinking, diapers needing changing, lesson plans waiting to be finished, or maybe even a business quietly struggling to bloom 🌱.

But here's the sacred paradox: Heaven sees what the world misses. 💫

More Than Just Knowing Things 🧠

We crave wisdom. We scroll for answers. We try to keep up—with homeschool methods, saints’ feast days, perfect routines, business advice, and the latest parenting research. It can be so tempting to believe that knowing more will make us holier.

But the saints remind us: It’s not what you know. It’s how much you love.
A poor, tired Momma with a messy bun and a heart that fears God is far richer in Heaven than the most praised intellectual who neglects his soul.

"If I knew all things in the world and had not charity, what would it profit me?"

Real Wisdom: Being Small 💗

Holiness isn't about having all the right answers—it's about recognizing how much we need Jesus.

We don’t grow by puffing ourselves up. We grow by going low. By admitting we are weak, needy, and often more fragile than we’d like to admit. That we snap when we don’t mean to. That we forget to pray. That we want to be “important” more than we want to be humble.

And yet… God chooses the small.
The hidden.
The unknown.
The Momma who keeps folding laundry with love. 🧺
The one who holds her tongue when she'd rather lash out.
The one who stumbles in prayer but keeps returning to Him anyway. 🙏

Want to Be Wise, Momma?

Then don’t try to be impressive.
Don’t compare yourself to others.
Don’t believe the lie that worth comes from being seen or praised.

Instead…

  • Love to be unknown.

  • Love to be little.

  • Love to be His.

This is what the saints call perfect wisdom:

To think of oneself as nothing, and always to think well and highly of others.

It’s not self-hatred. It’s holy self-forgetfulness.
The kind that sets the soul free.

A Gentle Warning 📖

The more you know, the more God expects.
So let’s not chase knowledge for its own sake, but seek the kind of knowing that leads to deeper surrender.

And when we see others fall into sin, let’s not judge.

“For you do not know how long you can remain in good estate.”

We are all frail. But we are also deeply loved.
And that should make us humble, not proud.

A Final Word, Momma 🌿

You don’t have to be wise in the world’s eyes.
You don’t have to be loud, popular, polished, or perfect.

You just have to be willing to be little, and let Jesus be big in you.

💗 Your littleness is not a weakness. It’s your superpower. 💗
Because when you make yourself small, God Himself lifts you up.

“Whoever humbles herself will be exalted.” — Matthew 23:12

Stay small. Stay rooted. Stay His.
He sees you, dear Momma—and that’s enough. 💒
